Fragile - definitely not ideal for kindergarten

Not sure if I just misunderstood the description but I'm disappointed, it's mostly flimsy cardboard with plastic windows. I expected more from Plexiglas

Great start for little scientists!

Great birthday gift for our 6 year old nephew who wants to be a scientist. We got this along with the microscope and he was so excited! I love that there are some pre-made slides for beginners to get a feel for what's involved!

Good starter set

Good starter set especially for younger children. With a good selection and multiple copies on each strip, it makes it even easier for my 6 year old daughter to watch on her own. I can also use the My First Lab Duo-Scope Microscope (great for older kids or just an all-purpose tool) or the Carson Microbrite 20X-40X Zoom LED Pocket Microscope (if you're on a budget, for a younger kid, or as a second microscope. It's very convenient to take it outside to examine the bugs and leaves!).
