Fun kit but only "good " value even with Amazon discount

I like these architecture kits, they are quite fun and look good on display. But one complaint. Man, they go together fast. I end up making them just a hair slower than the $20 Speed Champion sets. They can actually be assembled in about an hour or so. You'll get a nice demo model when you're done, but it's so quick to put together that I want more for almost $50.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Beautiful Tokyo Skyline

My wife is a huge LEGO fan and I bought her this version of Architecture Skylines Tokyo and she loves it. Honestly, 547 pieces are a little and a little pricey. She manages to assemble it in 30 minutes. Cherry Blossoms are the perfect addition to buildings. The print quality of the manual is not perfect. It looks good and is smaller than we first expected. The only problem is that she wants more Lego!

Still in total shock missing parts

I own the vast majority of the Lego Architecture Skylines collection and have never had a problem with missing parts. I open packages very carefully and keep everything in order. In the end only 3 parts of the Tokyo Skylines set were missing. It's very frustrating when you've finished assembling a set and have to search the internet to buy the missing parts.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

Interesting build, well done!

Came home from my first trip to Tokyo in early December and immediately went to see if LEGO had made this beautiful city skyline. Set an alarm for January 1st and get it as soon as possible! It was a great building experience, the pockets were neatly organized and the instructions were easy. It turns out to be an absolutely colorful exhibit. Even my girlfriend loves it and is annoyed at the frequency and speed with which I buy and assemble these kits. ha ha. Can't wait for the lighting set to…

Great gift, hard to buy for a teenager

Looking for a gift for the teenager in your life? Lego architecture sets are great. I bought this set for my son's 18th birthday as I wanted him to have something to celebrate this year rather than a cash gift. My son has rediscovered Lego in recent years. I bought him this stage because his best friend grew up in Japan and visiting Japan is on his list of places to visit. At 18 he completed the project in a few hours and exhibited it. Lego is not cheap, but it is of high quality. That was…

Really fun best in toy building set

Building this Lego set was a lot of fun. This was the first Lego set I've built since I was a kid. It brought me back to the days when I would just pick up some random parts, build something, and then just take it apart. Do not break this masterpiece that took me 2-3 hours to create with my family. This set will make a great display model. The instructions were easy to follow and assembling the parts was easy. I built it with my little cousins so it was a great way to spend time with family…

Great product, can be upgraded with instructions

Really like the end product. It's easy to put together and I even asked my 3 year old to help with some of the easier parts to practice her fine motor skills. I have two problems. 1 set of instructions on glossy black paper, looks cool and cool though. It's fine during the day, but at night in bright light the glare makes it hard to read, along with some parts of the brown I couldn't even tell was there. 2. Parts bags have no ratios. I can tell that some are round in one group and some are…

Suitable for building toys

This Lego set from the Architecture series shows some of the famous buildings in Tokyo, Japan. Despite the rather small size, you can find many details in it. This set includes Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Sky Tree, Tokyo's two tallest buildings, Shibuya Crossing and more. I found this kit easy to assemble and the instructions that came with it were pretty easy to follow. Took me about two hours to assemble everything. I was happy with the look of the final product and think it represents the city…
