Day 10 was not as announced

Everything went well until day 10 (today)! My son opens door 10 and cannot assemble the pieces because what was in the box doesn't match what is printed on the door. Now we have to hope to find the parts before 10 later, as well as the instructions for this bag. Fingers crossed no other door is wrong (besides the one we are looking for) I would not recommend this as a gift. Disappointed day for sure.

Not impressive! - Construction toy

I bought 2 construction sets for my children. This is a Lego set and a versatile set. I was concerned that the Universal set would not be as good as the Lego set. boy was i wrong! My 5 year old daughter isn't impressed that each day is too easy but together it takes about a minute. And so far none of the kits have been anything for her to play with once she's finished building. We seem to be playing a long game and in the end they will match. While we're on board. Alternatively my 9 year old…

This year's set was particularly generous, with five mini-girls instead of just one or two in previous years. I predicted there would be a mini-doll on Day 1 and it really was a character. But notice that it seemed a bit short; It turns out that this year they are "micro-dolls," one-piece figures that are much smaller (and cheaper, I think) than regular…

A fun family tradition, even for my older kids.

This is the 2021 version of the Lego Friends advent calendar. We buy a Lego advent calendar every year and our kids continue to open a new window every day even though they are almost teenagers. We've bought other versions of the Lego calendar in the past and they're all equally fun. A toy for each day is kept disassembled in a tray under a numbered calendar. You can take the tray out of the box without damaging the calendar, so we can put small candies or other items in each compartment to…
