Description of LEGO Expansion Building Collectible Playset

Add a cloud-spinning, digital-coin-winning challenge to children’s brick-built LEGO Super Mario universe with this Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set (71389). Includes LEGO toy figures of 3 iconic Super Mario enemy characters – Lakitu, a Bullet Bill and a Fuzzy, plus a Time Block offering players extra time to complete the level. Features a spinning cloud platform, which is spun around by players sliding LEGO Mario and/or LEGO Luigi (figures not included) to and fro on cloud sliders below. This 484-piece toy playset makes a super birthday or holiday gift for kids aged 7 and up who own a LEGO Super Mario Starter Course (71360 or 71387), which is required for play. Great for solo play or connect via Bluetooth to a friend’s LEGO Mario or LEGO Luigi figure (extra figures not included) for 2-player social fun where teamwork earns bonus coins.

Disappointing Construction Toy Set

Toys and Games enthusiasts beware! Based on my observations, this buildable playset lacks creativity and excitement... THE pieces are too basic and offer little room for imagination. The only positive note is that the instructions are clear and concise. However, the lack of complexity in the set makes the final product look cheap and unimpressive. If you're looking for a challenge or want to feel a sense of accomplishment after building, this is not the set for you..

Pros
  • Great for encouraging creativity and imagination in children through building and play.
Cons
  • Some children may find it overwhelming or frustrating to complete the building process without adult assistance.

No printed instructions

No printed instructions. The manual needs to be downloaded from the phone. Very inconvenient and difficult to follow from the phone. My kids have a basket of Lego instructions that they love to go to and choose a project to build. I have to be there with my phone if they want to pass it. Very uncomfortable.

Pros
  • Includes a rotating cloud platform for players to spin LEGO Mario and/or LEGO Luigi (figures not included) back and forth on the cloud sliders below
Cons
  • Upgradeable
