Great if you're grinding alone

Purchased to reduce wear on my LEM #8 grinder. I always had a friend with me. I didn't want the grinder running while I adjusted the cut to the size of the feed hole. I'm glad to have received this.

Great Product - Kitchen & Dining

I use this footswitch in combination with a LEM meat grinder when stuffing game bags with ground beef. It's so easy to stop the grinder when the bag of ground beef is full, without having to turn off the switch on the grinder, put on a new bag, press the switch and move forward again.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Not the best

Doesn't work as I expected.

I have mixed feelings about this. My first order arrived used. The way it works is you have to keep your foot on the pedal for it to work. When you take your foot off the pedal, it stops. Then you have to press the button on the grinder to make it work again. I just do not understand. I figured I could control the on and off with a footswitch.

Same item but cheaper than the Cabelas version

This is a great and almost essential tool when using a meat grinder to stuff sausage casings. So one person can do what two people would normally have to do. It's easier for me to stop and start the sausage flow to avoid tearing the casing or getting air in the casing. This is a momentary switch: press down to apply power and release to turn off. Keep in mind that this is a 15A snap action switch only, so it can be used with any product up to 15A where a footswitch can be useful. It is also…
