We bought this tablet to surf the web and read books. It has the latest Android OS (9), a good fast processor, a nicely responsive display and more than average RAM. It's compatible with all the apps we've tried, such as B. Kindle and readers for local library magazines. It's good for browsing and great for reading in your chair. For the money if you are not a gamer this is a great 8 inch Android tablet from a well known company.

I bought this tablet because I prefer the form factors of Android devices and want a smaller tablet than the one I'm currently using. I mainly use it for entertainment purposes, especially gaming. I find this tablet amazing. I was looking for an upgrade for my beloved but aging Tab 4 8. It works really well and is a good compromise between weight and battery life. It has a much better (faster) processor than my previous tab, half the RAM, and twice the flash, so it's pretty good in that regard. Warning. This device has been severely damaged by recent software updates. Notifications from various apps don't work, home screen widgets don't refresh or load, basically anything that relies on running in the background doesn't work. It's also NOT a true HD device - although the hardware is capable of it, no streaming app or service - Netflix, Disney, HBO, Criterion, etc. - will stream HD video to this device, if it will play at all . . Pros: Awesome display. need, and the battery level is still dropping 15-20% just after you've spent the night doing nothing. When I use it, the battery level drops much faster than I expected. I've seen numbers like 10 hours of video viewing but I don't see more than 3-4 at most.
