I'm not sure this thing will cut thicker metal as well as a standard blade. The price was lower than buying in a big hardware store. It looks like it will last longer than traditional cut-off wheels.

I wish I had found this blade years ago and spent money on it! I installed it on my utility saw and it cut through thick steel and stainless steel like I was cutting wood. It's much easier to use than disposable blades and doesn't shrink with use. Note, however, that this blade will bend at an angle when cutting metal. So try it on scrap metal for the first time to see how it performs.

Love this disc. I replaced the Evolution brand disc in my Evolution cut-off saw. The Evolution blade lasted a very long time, but the carbide teeth broke over time. So I decided to try a diamond crown. Works just as well. It sparkles a little more than a carbide grater cutting through steel. But I like that this blade is much stiffer than the other and doesn't bend. So he cut straight and clean.

Buy this for our shop to use in hopes of a more durable alternative to grinding wheels. We didn't get over a couple of cuts before having to remove the blade and return to the abrasive style. The blade jumps too much and does not provide a clean cut. If you have such a scenario, do not use this blade. If your script can work with raw edges etc then this will probably work for you.

so far so good. I wish it would cut as cleanly as a carbide blade. cuts cleaner (less dust) than a traditional grinding wheel but still melts the metal leaving huge burrs that need to be removed with a grinder/file/burr etc. Metal carbide blades are much nicer/cleaner to cut with a bandsaw. but it has its uses. I've made several stainless steel cake slices with it and it still cuts like the first time. the purchase is worthwhile.

Love the design and price of the diamond cutter. Although not as fast as a serrated wheel and about as fast as a grinding wheel, it is excellent for cutting small diameter bundles of material such as bundles of tubing or wire. It's also great for cutting ceramics, concrete, and other abrasive materials if you need that capability. Finally, it cuts well on hardened tool steels where serrated blades fail and abrasive blades overheat the steel at the cutting edge. Good to have in your blade set.

I'm probably not the easiest person to handle saws. I used grinding wheels almost exclusively. I'm using a lot of old oil field pipes to build a fence. When using grinding wheels to cut pipe, they tend to glaze and require extra pressure to continue cutting. If I do that, I'll burn out my saw after a while. With these blades I don't need to apply any extra pressure as they cut pipe without too much pressure saving me the extra expense of buying cut off saws. I cut 2-1/2 into the overturned…

I've done a few head-to-head comparisons with the old standard (and cheap) cut-off wheels on my 14" saw, and although the diamond is better too. The diamond cut is slightly rougher with a slightly wider kerf. Diamond cut times were a little slower, but not enough to complain about. Sparking was less with diamond but still significant enough not to create a safety difference. This can be advantageous in that the diameter does not decrease as you work (a common problem with standard abrasives)…
