Easily cuts through plaster

Easily cuts through 1 1/2 inch thick plaster. Used this to cut tall hats in a thick plaster ceiling after going through many other hole saws. Super smooth. The edges of the plaster are not chipped or anything like that. I've cut 10 holes so far and it still cuts smoothly. Hope it lasts a lot longer.

Hole saw for the lighting from Lenox.

I cut 14 holes in the wooden ceiling. The wood was of the old type, at least 1 inch thick in the OLD house. The saw worked great. A cordless drill is not possible for this job. I used my 1/2 Milwaukee Magnum hole punch. The size 6 5/8 is slightly smaller than the template Juno showed, but I still like a nice tight hole, so it worked. I usually work with drywall, so in the next work we will see how he works with drywall.

Pros
  • Hole saws
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great For Plastering - Power Tool Parts & Accessories

This Hole Saw is great for plaster work. It also works well with drywall. The special cutting surface of this hole saw prevents it from wearing out more quickly when working with plaster than a commercially available lightweight built-in hole saw. I've gone through 3-4 regular tooth holes over the years as they don't last very long every time they're used on drywall. This hole saw will last a lot longer if used on plaster and should last a very long time if used primarily on drywall.
