Description of LensCoat LCS120400DC Sigma 120-400 Lens Cover (Digital Camo)

Protection from bumps, dings, nicks, and the elements like water, sand, dust etc. Camoflauge patterns help conceal by breaking up the shape of the lens. Neoprene acts as a thermal barrier protecting hands from hot and cold. Slides on like a sleeve. Made in the USA.

Poor Quality Material

The LensCoat cover looks good initially but it's made of cheap-quality material that wears out sooner than you expect. The camouflage print fades easily and doesn't protect your lens from scratches. The cover is a waste of money for the price tag. It's frustrating that the brand produces electronics that don't live up to the expectations of the customers.

Pros
  • Protects lens from dust, dirt, and scratches.
Cons
  • May require frequent cleaning due to dirt accumulation on the camouflage pattern.

Lens coating Lens cap

Not related to the product quality, but I returned the product as is in many parts. I figured it would fit like a sock, one piece. I bought it to protect my lens and I feel like the picture in the ad is deceiving. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially for the price.

Pros
  • Resistant to bumps, dents, cuts and elements such as water, sand, dust, etc.
Cons
  • Blank

Poor zoom coverage in accessories

I like the LensCoat LCS120400M4 Sigma 120-400 (Realtree Max4 HD) lens cap, except for the zoom cap, it doesn't work! It fits snugly in the lens barrel and requires the zoom tube to be fully extended at all times. If you're not consistently shooting at 400mm, you'll need to remove it to shoot at a focal length shorter than 400mm. Instead of sending it back I just leave it on all the time. They should supply this part from more flexible material.

Pros
  • Neoprene acts as a thermal barrier to protect hands from hot and cold
Cons
  • Some small things
