After only 2 minutes of use, the adapter became hot and stopped outputting an HDMI signal. This behavior has been observed on several different monitors, each with a different HDMI cable. With this computer (new 16" MacBook Pro) another adapter works fine. I had to return for a refund. I won't be buying again.

This product is so amazing, flexible and durable and I love the color. I bought this HDMI adapter for my Galaxy Note 9 to easily stream Netflix movies through the projector. So based on the reviews, the purchase to connect my 2017 MacBook Pro to my 2014 55" HD RCA TV turned out to be easy - WRONG!
