Check those screws for taps

We buy this particular brand as it is part of my must have shoes for my kids dance studio. So far this is the only case where the screws on a shoe have fallen off. and we've bought this brand at dance stores at least once or twice a year for the past 5 years. Otherwise, the shoes look great if the screws don't come loose in the middle of a session.

Pros
  • Stitched onto rubber metatarsal pad to prevent slipping
Cons
  • Interval

Overall great shoes!

As a tap teacher, I wore a lot of shoes to dance. Now that I'm older I need more comfortable shoes that still sound good. This shoe is comfortable, doesn't chafe or blister, but has very little arch support. I was very happy with some of the assignments. The price here is better than any other store I checked. Some places wanted up to $120 for it! You look fantastic in person too!

Pros
  • Premium threaded Ultratone taps pre-assembled
Cons
  • Tape

Pat gently...or rasp

Perfect fit. Appearance is perfect. They're a lot easier to hack than we've been warned about. Faucets are SHARP. It's like we have to take a rasp and file down the edges because they dig in and get stuck on the ground making tapping difficult I'm told. Strange because none of the other Bloch tap shoes are like this one, only the Leos. While not perfect, it's the best value for money Wing tap shoes and definitely worth what we paid for it.

Pros
  • Genuine leather upper with reinforced toe
Cons
  • Damaged

Fits small/strong odor

Shoes have a very strong chemical odor. It doesn't smell like leather and is quite hard. The shoes also run small. We were lucky enough to find a store that allowed us to try on shoes but not buy them, so we knew exactly what size to order. Otherwise we would definitely have to return the shoes in a different size. Unfortunately, the sound of the tap is rather flat. We may be used to the sound of Teletones, but it sounds "muffled" rather than crisp and clear.

Pros
  • 100% leather
Cons
  • Empty

Funny shoes! for shoes

I treated myself to a new pair of tap shoes after my first year in formal class. I chose Leo based on reviews, price and the look of the shoe. After dancing in it for a few hours I was happy with it, although my foot would have benefited from a little more room in the front of the shoe. The front of the shoe is a bit narrow so be careful if you have bunions. I decided against the wide size as my foot would likely slip off while dancing. If I were in a store I would try 8.5 to see theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Leather and rubber outsole
Cons
  • Nothing here

Sizes are everywhere

I'm a dance teacher and already own (and LOVE) these. The problem is I usually wear a size 6 but I bought a size 7 at our local dance shop as they didn't have my size and I REALLY wanted it. However, when they wore out a bit, I found them too big and therefore difficult to use. I bought 6 online (on ebay). The description said to order a size up because they run small, but as I was already a "size up" and they were too big, I went for a 6. However, I couldn't even get them with a 1/ Enter 2โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Shaft measures about low from the arch
Cons
  • No instructions
