Missing screws fit electronics

That's great. Large size hides drywall flaws. I ordered 2 and 1 covers were missing screws. Not a big deal but definitely worth a star. quality control?

  • hands-free
Cons

Product OK: Wall Plates

I needed these to plug a hole in my wall caused by removing my old thermostat so I could install my Nest thermostat. The cover is not thick and if you overtighten the screws during installation, it will break.

  • Cool

Good size but very fragile plastic

The size is excellent but the plastic is quite brittle. I bought to cover a large wall outlet area where I needed to run the cord. My plan was to cut a small hole in this plate, which worked, but it was more like chipping the plastic as it was very brittle.

Pros

CUSTOM HOLE SPACING

Quality like other rubbers in this price range. But it's important to know that not only is the plate oversized, but the holes aren't standard either. If you have a standard box, you can only attach one screw. This should be highlighted in the listing. i will return it

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Unreliable

Easier than patching the wall after removing the switch.

Removed water heater wall switch and covered space. It fits perfectly. This is better than patching the hole if the switch ever needs to be reinstalled. Looks good and mine isn't on the side so no problem. It's a bit larger than a standard lid, which is nice for making sure you cover that sloppy hole.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Angers

what a joke - wall panels

I bought this cover because I needed a larger panel, and a quick one too. After receiving the plate quickly, it was the same size as the standard plate. Part of the name of the plate is oversized which doesn't mean they sell that. I didn't send it back because who knows, I might need it somewhere else.

Pros
  • larger wall panels are used to conceal larger wall imperfections than are covered by midway wall panels
Cons
  • little things

Better than fixing an oversized hole in the wall!

I had to cut off about 1/8" of the length to reveal the baseboard. I didn't have any cracks, but I screwed the original, smaller plate onto the inside of this oversized plate as a precaution. My idea was to provide support while cutting the cutting line with a utility knife. Using a Dremel tool to finish cut the plastic left an edge that can be easily smoothed out with sandpaper.

Pros
  • Oversized wall panels a full 0.75" taller and wider than standard sized wall panels
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Suitable for holes that are too large.

I needed access to the wall to replace a CAT 7 Ethernet cable and needed a hole that was slightly larger than a standard wall outlet. This cover along with the low voltage bracket helped close the hole without drywall. This is a good solution, especially since it is not visible in the closet. Ideal. It does a good job of plugging a hole that is too big. I'd say it's good for covering a hole up to 3/4" wide and/or up to 3/4" high.

Pros
  • Smooth finish and rounded edges keep dust out
Cons
  • So far so good

Don't waste your money

I paid a premium to order these from Revain because my local big stores rarely sell oversized blanks. It was the perfect size, but something is wrong with the composition of this material. I've used hundreds of the big stores and they've always been extremely durable. Of the three I ordered, one arrived broken, one broke while tightening the screws during installation, and the third broke upon unpacking. They never had to go through quality control and were never sold. The plastic is very…
