Best winch handle for other sports

Perfect winch handle for my J/80 (26ft). Light, fast and easy. The OneTouch actuation is much better than the old lever type, the grip is the perfect size.

Pros
  • Winch handle with lock
Cons
  • Compatibility

Ideal for racing: Sport

Purchased to replace a winch handle that went overboard during a race. It is very easy to use and fits my hand perfectly. As my winches need replacing I will be switching to Lewmar OneTouch.

Pros
  • Marine Alloy
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

good but too long

All the other reviews say it's true - it's a good product - but for my hunter 38 is too long to tail staysail - so I can only use it for the main brake , not for an arrow - will keep for this purpose but won't buy again - hope they have a shorter version on the market

Pros
  • 8 inches long
Cons
  • doubtful

Do yourself a favor and get one now!

How could I ever swim without something like this! There are over 30 boats in our sailing club and all are fitted with winch handles which you have to fight with the release lever to get them off the winch. These are way better! Smooth to use and easy to attach/detach. Do yourself a favor and get one now.

Pros
  • Three year guarantee
Cons
  • Repair

My first to grab! fits Tack

This lightweight one touch pen was my first! The 10 inch metal thumb button stylus is no longer my favorite stylus. This new grip has no twist like other "floating" types I've used in the past. The yellow top makes this handle easy to find. , no matter where I left it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Flimsy

Excellent winch handles

Excellent winch handles. We use three of these on the boat including the 10 inch version. This was bought to replace a cheaper competitor version that was just so different in size that it didn't fit properly in the winch handle pockets. and the release mechanism is really great, just push the handle and the winch will turn off.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • New competitors

This is a great product at a great price

The one touch Lewmar handle really is a lot easier to use than switch released winch handles. I think it's also chemically hardened forged aluminum boots. This is a very good winch handle. They are longer and allow room for two hands on the swivel, but they are the best option for anything but a really large (over 40ft) yacht. The shorter 8" grip is handy for not hitting things like a Dodger, but the 10" grip gives you more leverage.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Blank

Love this comfortable winch handle

Bought this winch as an extra winch for my Lewmar 43 two speed winches and a pair of Lewmar 40 winches. Lewmar silver/black all metal pin, so this one was the first choice. Easier on the hands and the ability to rest the palm on the yellow top when the winch is also handy. Less weight is also an advantage. The one touch lock feature works very well and allows you to install the handle on the winch with one hand. The only downside would be that in an extreme payload situation I'd probably prefer

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
