Frustrating is the narrow strap that has to be twisted to unscrew and refill the grinder. Also, one end is broken off. Maybe it broke from falling on the counter too many times, but it has never been dropped from any height, just knocked over. It is difficult not to tip over the tall thin pipe. I have another grinder with a similar but slightly different design that lasted longer and was easier to refill.

Received this as a gift and I am happy to report that it fits in my purse and as it has caps on both ends it can also be taken on the go can. Most restaurants no longer offer S/Ps on the table and now I don't have to worry about that since I can bring my own mix of sea salt and gourmet peppers. The construction is solid and I like that I can adjust the grind level. It could only be better if it runs on battery power.

I love the style of this coffee grinder and the fact that there should only be one item on the table. It has stoppers on the end to keep it from dripping, but another option is to put it on a tray. It looks even cooler if you use pink sea salt. Grinds salt and pepper to the perfect size. It's good if next to the stove. Just as easy to salt and pepper. My last one took the owner's manual to find out. That speaks for itself.

When we first received the product, we really liked it. Unfortunately the acrylic broke after only 3 months of normal use. I poured pepper into a dish I was cooking just as it broke in half and poured all the pepper into my pan! Wow. This pepper/salt grinder is all I need in the kitchen. Everyone should have one of these in the household. I was originally looking for a pepper mill but came across this tool.
