My son is 11 and wears 10/12 everywhere; he's "Mr. Mainstream" in all his clothes, and it's very rare that something doesn't suit him in that area. Looking at the size chart it's perfect for a medium youth size which is why we chose it. As soon as we got them I knew they were going to be too big. he didn't even have to try them on – they were HUGE. These sporty shorts are a great find! They are convenient and affordable. They are easy to wash and do not lose their size after washing.

I love these shorts and they fit my 11 year old son but one of them doesn't fit. I ordered YM and one of the five is YXL so it's a bit disappointing.

My son loves them, they are comfortable and breathable but come down to mid-calf. I would recommend going down in size and making sure the strings are knotted when washing, otherwise you will spend a lot of time re-threading them! Overall a good buy, just pay attention to the size!
