I just plugged in the adapter and it works great with the keyboard and garageband on the iPad. Well packaged and arrived ahead of schedule.

This was exactly what was needed

I was trying to connect a USBC hub to my iPad to access the SD card and flash drive and also had passthrough charging for that iPad and the USB hub to have enough power reserves when copying large files. This gadget did its job.

False advertising, no USB 3.0, unreliable charging and coil squeaking

False advertising. This adapter does not support USB 3.0: iPadOS reports this adapter as A1440 (Apple Lightning to USB 2.0 Adapter) with no serial number. The product images and box indicate that it is a USB 3.0 adapter, but unfortunately this is false advertising. I also tested throughput with a gigabit ethernet adapter, which was just under 400 Mbps. USB 2.0 supports 480 Mbit/s, so a version 2.0 adapter makes sense. In comparison, the Apple A1619 adapter delivers over 900 Mbps with everything

Works as advertised

I wanted to watch videos that are on a flash drive with data created by my MacBook. The video plays normally when the device is connected to the iPad and plugged into a power source. A very useful device.

I tried a few other adapters but none worked. This one works great. I was able to play various video files from an attached USB drive and open Excel and Word files saved on the USB drive.

Doesn't work on Computers & Accessories

It's hard to believe that all the vague 5 star reviews are real. First of all, it just doesn't work. I got it to connect my iPhone SE to a DAC. It just doesn't let digital audio through at all, so it's practically useless. Even when it worked, the Lightning connector is too big to fit in a cased phone, which is a pretty awful design. a bit removed from the apple adapter but i return it and get it. It's possible I'm an idiot or have a bad product, but I think it's more likely that the other…

You have a great 10 year old Canon camera. I used a connecting cable to transfer pictures to my Mac. However, newer Macs have a different port. I managed to buy an adapter as per the description on the website and it works great.
