I am using this to build a mount on my HO model railroad layout. Use a small amount at a time and work quickly as the patch dries in minutes.

Easy to work with. drying time overnight. Can be diluted beyond the recommended amount and still retain its strengths. Fits beautifully with the shapes of the Scenic Woodlands Rock. Only criticism is that the material doesn't go as far as I would like. I can experiment with fillers to reduce the amount needed for stone molds. But overall very happy with this product.

I'm still getting compliments on the stone trim I did with this hydrocal for my HO layout. Once you take it out of the stone molds (which are fine too) it can be cut, shaped and trimmed if needed. Takes pigment colors very well and delivers very realistic results. When using Woodland Scenics stone molds, spray some damp water (water and dish soap) on the mold to act as a release agent.

Tried cheaper and non-simple materials. Even if the price is a bit high, you get more items from this product and they weigh NOTHING. Woodland Scenics is the best to showcase in my village. Not too messy to use. I have used it many times. Easy to paint. Woodland Scenics also has free videos on their website. No, I don't work for them, but as an avid D56 and Lemax collector, I enjoy sharing good products and information with other collectors.

This Hydrocalcium is a great product for making molds. Some people mix this with paper towels to make a plaster shell for the base of their terrain/diorama. What I did with it the first time I used pretty much the entire box to make a 1 x 1 foot diorama. I mixed what the box said and what other people said.
