Ideal for open water swimming. I use it in the lake for early morning swimming (6-7am) at the beginning of the session it's very dark - so I put a LED dive light over it. The dry bag works great - I can put my car keys, wallet and phone in it and when I'm done everything stays dry. The only complaint I have is the lack of a flashlight mount :)

Bought for training to do open water triathlon swim. The first time I used it without using the memory part. While swimming, I didn't even realize he was there. I could even lay my head on it like a pillow while swimming. The second time I put the keys in the storage compartment. No questions. I definitely recommend this swim buoy.

I expected my stuff to be completely dry in a dry bag. There is still water in the bag. I wouldn't trust this to hold my keychain or phone without putting it in a waterproof case. Updated 6/12/2020 to 5 stars. I could swim and keep my contact lenses dry. 1) I twisted my neck a few more times. 2) I filled the buoy to its maximum capacity which helped tighten the neck.

I can finally swim freely in open water at my local lake and still see boaters. The orange buoy is highly visible and the dry pack area means I never have to hide my car keys on the beach before a swim. It may seem insignificant, but it allows me to train with one less worry. My family is also very relieved because they used to worry about me while swimming. Great shipping and great customer service.

I got this product for a great price so I bought some of these for friends who needed them too. We all like them a lot as we need to swim a lot in open water and be visible. This product is worth it even if it is out of stock. It can save your life even if you don't know it! Aside from being visible, it keeps your stuff inside and keeps you dry. And it serves as an emergency float (or something to hold onto to rest for a minute).

This is the second buoy I use for open water sailing. It's a little bit more. Which makes it more visible. I feel no more resistance than with less. The waterproof compartment always gets wet when I use it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I put my keys in a plastic bag before I put them in. I also add two flashing bike lights. This is a strong and durable product. Stay well pumped. Great views and plenty of storage space - although it can get a bit humid inside, so give your valuables extra protection by perhaps putting them in a plastic bag. Super light, you don't feel it at all when swimming. Plugs, straps on the belt doesn't make much sense. I've only used it a few times so far. So far this has worked great. It is typically at least 50% larger than most other buoys used by other swimmers. The orange color makes it much more eye-catching than some of the yellows or greens I've seen and combined with the large size makes it very noticeable even in rough water.
