The product is an improvement!

It's time to switch my router from single band to dual band. I read many product reviews on Revain and settled on this model. It provides the basics of what is required to run multiple devices. No bells, no whistles, but it gets the job done! I noticed a positive difference in the signal. No more buffering! I would recommend this router. It's a decent price for what it offers. I do not play games. I have two Roku streaming sticks and three other devices. I am planning to increase my internet…

Not as advertised on networking products

10/100 rear ports. So there is no way to get 1000Mbps, you need 10/100/1000 ports. The maximum speed I was allowed was 94 Mbps over the Ethernet cable. The best WiFi I got with the phone was 43Mbps. This was the case on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. The product says it can deliver 1000 Mbps.

Wi-Fi has slowed down a lot

I have been very satisfied with Linksys products in the past so ordering this product has been very convenient for me. For the past few months I've been using my phone's hotspot feature to connect to the internet on a pole in my office. This worked really well, but I really needed to add a permanent solution. It wasn't. After weeks of trying to get it running as fast as my last Linksys router, I turned it off and returned to my phone's hotspot. This blockage fluctuates and slows down my entire…

Wish it lasted longer

Unfortunately I really can't tell if it's good or not hence 3 stars. In fact I only needed an access point, after reading the specs this device has a "bridge mode", great, it should work perfectly. Getting to the point, this software is very new, after some maturation it could work very well, but at the moment it doesn't. I couldn't get the device to be stable for more than a few hours. Updated and reset the firmware, also tried other modes that I could handle, although not perfect. After…

Decent device for the money. have questions

The first issue is that the included 12V power adapter was defective. Fortunately, I was able to use the power supply from the old device to get started. I would like to get a replacement for the dead man. Second, the Wi-Fi signal from this AC1000 device is not as strong/has less range than my old Linksys BEFSR41/WAP54g combo. But I can handle it. Installation was very easy and quick. And the delivery speed was exceptional. But for the dead power and range I would give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Durable build
Cons
  • Good but not great

Extremely slow. A seven year old router works many times better

This is the first review I have written on Amazon. This is the first product that was so bad that I really wanted to take the time to write this review. I bought this router to replace my 7 year old Linksys router. Installation was easy and I had no trouble connecting to the wifi. That's all this router did. From now on things will load very slowly even if they are close to the router and other things won't load at all. I've tried turning the phone off and on again. Nothing has changed. Tried…

Keeps up with a small number of devices

I bought this for my parents who aren't big tech users but needed something with solid coverage and good reliability for their Google Home devices. 2 lightbulbs, 3 google points, 2 home hubs, multiple phones, tablets and smart TVs were all well supported by this router. Less than 5 ms latency for your ISP and reliable coverage over 2500 m². ft. I've spent a lot more on routers that perform less well, so I was impressed to find 802.11AC for less than $50. - Setup was basic but I knew what I was…
