🖌️ Liquitex Professional Freestyle Large Scale Brush, 4-inch Paddle - White Review

I love Liquitex in general and this brush has great brushstrokes. But when I held it, my arm would curl up if I used it for more than a few minutes. The design didn't fit my hands very well but might be great for someone with big hands!

So I just love this brush! I'm an abstract artist and this brush does an amazing job! The only problem is I've had it for a little over a month and the handle is already cracking. I wash my brushes after every use, so I can only imagine that water can damage them. Otherwise, the purchase is definitely worth it. Just think of the pen.

I bought this flat brush to seal a diamond painting and cleaning canvas for paint by numbers. The petal was thin and easy to apply while the seal was very thick and required some force to move. This brush applied both products well and was easy to clean with warm, soapy water. Comes in a nice plastic case that protects the brush when not in use. A quality product at a price that should last.

This brush is great from the first time. It's even great when you use it for the second time. But after a few uses it spreads. It is no longer smooth and soft, it begins to crumble and leaves brush marks. It's very difficult to brush near the root of the bristle so it gets hard, which as it's such a short brush just doesn't work if any part of it is hard. I take very good care of my brushes so I don't think it's human error. I don't think this brush is worth the money.

I bought the 2 inch version of this very popular brush. First, it's tiny. It all fits in the palm of my hand. This is not a disadvantage, but I was surprised. The handle is flat and very short. It feels good in the hand and feels comfortable in the hand. It does a lousy job, which surprises me after hearing so much about how good this brush is. It doesn't cover well and leaves streaks. Trying to smooth out the paint takes longer and I just end up with a better brush. I don't know what to say…

I really enjoy using these brushes for abstract freehand acrylic painting. I've been looking for brushes with wide, thin bristles for a long time. Cheap shed VERY BAD! The good quality wide brushes I've found have thick, deep bristles that pick up a large amount of paint. I needed a wide brush to move or spread the paint across the canvas, thicker brushes of this size are more like a smudge brush.
