I love these nets!

These filters are perfect for filtering pieces of wax after honey has been pressed. The only problem was that as the wax grew, the bag would sink into the filtered honey, slowing down the filtration process (you had to constantly pull on the mesh from the outside to lift the bottom of the "sack" of honey. No problem! It became a lot easier , squeeze the wax lids to get more honey!

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Volume

I would give more if I could! I collected honey for the first time and had to learn it. When I twisted the frames in the extractor, the wire could not stand it, and the entire comb fell to the ground. I put this strainer on top of the container and it got rid of all the wax and dirt and I ended up with a nice pure honey! It seems to be a must for beekeepers!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features

Okay, but you need a string.

The fine mesh bag worked great as a pure honey filter - just scrape the comb and honey into a bag, hang over a bucket and let it filter overnight. The bag doesn't have a drawstring, though, so it didn't stick around the opening of the 5-gallon bucket when scraping the comb off the frame. We also had to improvise with a large rubber band to tie over the drain bucket. The tip will solve both of these problems.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Worth the price.

Sturdy, perfect for a 5 gallon HDPE honey pail, and when used to grip the hot knife lids of each frame, the double mesh slowly (overnight) releases excess honey back into the bucket honey bucket off. Can be easily washed in the washing machine and dries quickly. Steel mesh hemispheres work great, but they cannot be hung to drain. If you hang it outside after the honey is drained, your bees will clean it for you in a day, almost as if you washed it. The bees are amazing. Would buy again.

  • Best
Cons
  • Annoys Me

The beekeeper's savior! in the kitchen and dining room

We got it even though the bee shop said "it takes a long time and requires a lot of work and isn't necessary etc.". be! We were going to just use linen or muslin but forgot about the lint problem that can arise. We talked to other Beeps and got answers from everyone as to whether this is necessary for the end stress of mining. I'm still glad we did. We passed honey twice through metal sieves that are of two different sizes. It's 400 and it really cleans the end product. Passing through this…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

The most useful honey gear I have!

I agree with the reviewers who say the drawstring would be good, but after trying a few alternative filters (metal and plastic mesh filters) I still give this filter 5 stars. In fact, I went back to get some more bags because I use mine for everything (it's now secured with little magnets and acts as a floating "safety net" in my syrup dispenser)! The best thing about this pack is that you can still snap the lid on the honey bucket while it's dripping; It makes life MUCH easier if you're just…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some issues
