Great adjustable product.

I came back to give this one 5 stars. I removed the two bottom braces and remade one for the aft rigging. On the back is a paracord with carabiners. spray-dyed cloth to conquer the area. I was in a continuous torrential rain for 3 hours today. Stayed almost dry. If you plan on kayaking in the morning in the rain, spray paint works. I think the fabric itself is not very permeable.

BUY THIS IF YOU LOVE THE SUN BUT THE SUN HATES IT LOL

I LOVE THIS SHADE! As you can see I'm a porcelain ginger so I need maximum sun protection and this is perfect! Very easy to set up and store both in and out of the kayak. It's also flexible, so you can maneuver around them when trees are low. One more thing, she survived my flip! I capsized my yak with it and it actually stayed, I'm so happy and got so many compliments sailing!

Doesn't work, waste of money. Good idea, just needs more RnD.

Very quick to set up and take down but not wide enough for sun protection and sits quite high. The sun needs to shine all day at noon to protect you. Bungies are really hard to find something to attach to. Save $50-$60, buy clothes with SPF and a soft hat. Save the pontoon shed. As soon as they were placed near the water, they were weak and wanted to collapse. If I hadn't thrown away the packaging I would have sent it back.

Nice shade but gets in the way when rowing

Be careful what rod holders you install for this, if you don't already have them installed they should be straight up and down just like the rod holders I have. were too deep so I had to put pegs in to make the shade high enough not to touch my head, other than that it seems to be holding up very well, although I had to lean forward to paddle because I'm still using yours hands. It's worth it for the shade, although I burn very easily I can now fish without getting horrible sunburns.

Instructions missing

I bought two of these and two of the Z mount. It costs almost $200. It was packaged to be returned within 39 minutes of arrival. Why? NO INSTRUCTIONS! I have no idea how to install them and for $200 I don't think I need to put much effort into figuring it out. I am so disappointed. I was planning to use them kayaking this weekend. Instead, we have to toast in the sun because these folks simply couldn't include instructions on how to install and use their product. Excellent! I will buy the…

These are instructions that were not included.

It's from a woman to any other woman or man's girlfriend you obviously need behind their back to put it "right" LOL!1. Connect all parts together.2. Slide the loop (at the front end of the dome) until it is in the center of the "U".3. Gently bend both legs towards each other - I sat on it, keeping my knees parallel to the floor. 4. Slide the canopy toward you, making sure all straps go through the frame. It's like putting a sock on a giant paper clip. One side is mesh and the other side is…

Affordable sun visor but too low for a kayak with a stadium seat

I'm 5ft 9" and have 3 Lifetime Teton Angler kayaks. I bought the orange shade and it looked really nice with the kayak I bought and matches its orange accessories. The biggest disappointment is that it's just too short for my current kayak. I've tried the rear rods in the rear rod holders and putting in each a few scraps of rag which I wouldn't advise as it ripped in the slightest wind and hit me in the face. My kids thought it was funny but I didn't. It might work for another kayak model but…

Great for calm days

I was so happy when my husband bought this little canopy. I couldn't wait to use it. I have very fair skin and I burn just thinking about the sun. I set it up, got out halfway to the lake, the wind picked up and scared me half to death because it almost helped tip the kayak over! The water temperature is about 50 degrees where I kayaked so I didn't want to swim in the water! I tried again on a different day on a different lake and unfortunately encountered the same problem. However, I was able…

Excellent product for the price

I made a few purchases before making this purchase. Other brands have been prohibitively expensive in my opinion given the functionality of this product. It's nice to be in the sun all day in a kayak, but many people make do with a hat and sunscreen, so it's less of a necessity than a luxury. However, I like it very much. Taking it apart and putting it back in the included pouch is a little tricky, as some of the wands are slightly curved at the ends and the elastic tends to pull the pieces…
