So far, so good. I am happy with the current results

I had my doubts as this is the second power supply I have ordered from logisys. The first was white. Completely new. It smelled like new but also smelled like burnt rubber or something. On the other hand, when I plugged it into the wall, it showed no sign of function, and I was even afraid to plug it onto my new motherboard. I have tested it. DOA. Burnt out and bad. However, I ordered this one by mistake and didn't pay attention to the name of the company. I had my doubts when I found out when…

Used it for low profile gaming

I was on a budget - I mean very limited! I came across this power supply but was skeptical as I don't know the manufacturer. It turns out I made the right choice! I installed it on my computer with a GTX 1650 (75w and no external power supply) and it works so well! This device can handle all my extreme gaming and video productions! No crashes. No Smoking. no sparks Only satisfaction! The only downside to this device is that the cables are short, making cable management difficult. The fan is…

Worked for about 3 days

The PSU seemed fine until the 3rd day when I heard a bang and the computer shut down. I have traced the problem back to this power supply. I wasn't even close to using its max output of 480W when it died. I only had 2 x 60W graphics cards and a Sempron 145 (45W) processor plus a hard drive. I had to run to the local computer store and buy a good power adapter to get my new computer working again. I learned my lesson trying to save $20-$30 on a good PSU. I ended up paying $20 for a small fan…

Bought two. One scared me.

I bought two of these power supplies for two budget assemblies I made. None came with screws. I'm not sure if this is normal or if they somehow got lost before they got to me. While they are both working, one scared me first. Something rattled inside. By shaking and flipping, a piece of solder came out. What scares me is what is used to control the Force. I installed it anyway and it worked. Let it run for a few days to make sure everything is fine and still working. Still a bit relative. The…

OK IF. Computer Components

This PSU is rated at 480W. But that's peak power and short lifespan. Its continuous stable power is 350W. And high-end graphics cards, you will be fine. I've built 2 systems with them - 15 months ago with a 95w AMD processor and 3 fan Radeon 6450 cards and they had no problem running almost 24/7. Use the PSU calculator and stay under 340W total system power and you'll get a great 20.00 PSUT. Try running an overclocked high-end CPU or a Crossfire GPU and you'll fry it in 2 days.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expensive

Inexpensive, low power consumption, brand, but CHEAP.

I bought this low-cost power supply for a project and am satisfied with its stylish design, size and longevity. Compared to other high-end power supplies, this one is smaller and lighter. Although this PSU draws relatively little power (480W), I don't see a problem powering it for basic computers that don't have high-end graphics, multiple GPUs, or power-hungry multi-core CPUs. to say that this power supply is a great purchase. However, if I needed one for my computer, I would go with a big…

Cheap and works so far Used as a replacement for a Dell XPS 400 PSU

I bought this PSU to replace a broken Dell XPS 400 PSU. So I bought this instead of paying extra on eBay for a used OEM power supply. Works well so far, but the power supply is a bit narrower than the slot in the housing for the original power supply; However, this may be due to the specifics of the Dell case. I will update if I encounter any problems. As a side note, if you're using this power supply specifically for the Dell XPS 400, the SATA power connectors are a bit short, but you can get…

It's pretty easy for internal power supplies

I had all the connections I needed for my setup at this point. I realized at the price I couldn't go wrong, well I was right it has everything I need and some juice left over. and some extra links for me to add to this! - Update 24th June 2014 (6 months later) - Still working, although I noticed in HW Monitor by CPUID that my +12v was around 8.87, which I searched and found HW Monitor Pro wrong could be, so I'll have to check my bios to make sure it's really that low, I hope it's not, but I'll…
