Will not work if metal plate is not attached to phone or case

Attachment is OK. There was no sticking to the metal parts of the adapter, so it doesn't stick to the phone or case, it just falls off. The mount is small so I don't know if the magnet is strong enough to hold the phone. The bottom line is that it was a waste of money. Edit: After trying to use additional glue to attach the plate to my phone case, I found that the magnet wasn't big enough or strong enough, the phone just slipped off and fell.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Requires socket

This is by far the best phone mount I have ever used

This is by far the best phone mount I have ever used. The magnets are VERY strong and I have never detached my phone from the holder. Tip: Use a cheap phone case and stick a magnet on it. Even change your cases when you ride and go back to your favorite case when you're done driving. The magnets will NOT come off - whatever you attach this magnet to, it will stay in place for life! (In my experience.) The only issue I had was that some of the vents are at odd angles - in my old car I had to put

5 Year Review - Base Stations

I bought my first Logitech mount 5 years ago and have never had a problem with it. My vent clip has never bent, broken, or come loose, and the magnet's strength has never diminished. It was always a very secure grip (even on bumpy roads). You can see there are some problems with the magnet dulling and the top layer of the clip peeling off, but even 5 years later these are the only problems. It works great. I bought a new phone and a new magnet so hopefully the quality will stay the same but I…

Not for the newest, biggest phones

I love Logitech stuff and while this was probably a great mount for previous generations of phones, it no longer serves that purpose with newer, heavier phones. . If you don't have the latest phones, this may well suffice. Its high quality is easy to assemble and holds my old LG-G6 perfectly. My new Samsung A71 is not that great. Although it will initially hold the phone, the slightest tug will cause the phone to detach. Other devices have larger and stronger magnets and hold up much better…

Sturdy - Holds iPhone plus

The magnet is very strong and holds my iPhone plus in the case with no problems. The only problem is that when your car's air vents are tilted, so is your phone. I have a Nissan Pathfinder and the vents are angled upwards. I ended up buying a fake pop socket and attached a magnet to it. This allows the phone to tilt away from the vent (rather than up). Also, keep in mind that a large phone can completely block airflow. It's no fun when it's 100 degrees and you're running the AC. They need to…
