Great fire starter in lighters

A family member recommended this looftlighter for our Kamado Joe Jr. grill. I was outraged at the price but after using starter blocks and a different brand electric lighter I decided to try the 'real deal'. I don't apologize This is a great product for lighting charcoal. Chemical free, easy to use and gives great results. You MUST follow the instructions to get the most out of it. I bought a heavy duty extension cord as we don't have an outlet. This lighter consumes about 1500 watts. So if you

A 600 second lighter would be more appropriate.

I decided to try this product after 2 BGE electric starters failed. I use my BGE 3-5 times a week for dinners and BBQs at pool parties. Lighting lumpy charcoal can be a problem as you NEVER use lighter fluid in a BGE. After 2 months of use, meticulously following the instructions and watching some YouTube videos, I'm not thrilled. First you have to plug the BGE into the right outlet because the cord isn't that long, and then the frustration sets in when you realize that this device requires you

Hello. I used an electric starter with a loop and it was good but one day I lost track of time and part of the handle melted so it was time to buy something new. I've used it about 10 times now and I really like it. Unlike the sling, once I start the fire I don't have to go back and take out the hot iron and put it on a plate as I have a patio, not a patio.
