Put on a giraffe hat to get the full experience

I personally love this book and have been reading it since 8th grade. The copy I then read had only the front cover with the words "Losers" scrawled across the board. No description. Curiosity got the best of me and I can only say that it exceeded my expectations. Mainly because I didn't know what to expect. Honestly it's hard to describe. Both are great books too. This book makes you and yours.

This is the first Jerry Spinelli book my son read in 3rd grade and it prompted him to read many of Spinelli's other books (like Maniac Magee and Wringer, both excellent books). This book will make you and your child think deeply about the fact that not every child fits into what most children and adults see as popular or successful (such as being a great athlete or a straight-A student). My son had to read for a summer book project.

My son had to read this for a book launch. I usually buy the paperback version, audio version and Kindle version when he needs to do such tasks to keep excuses to a minimum.
