Bad generic brand. in fluorescent lamps

The lamp was too tight in the socket and could not come off. The thread was too close to the socket. There was no glass to support the filament to place the filament in the glass bulb, which could defeat the purpose of a UV lamp; clean my air

Not suitable for fluorescent lamps

Does not fully fit Honeywell socket. Says it's an exact replacement but there are nicks on the pins that won't fit the Honeywell brand bulb and it won't fit or work. In fact it got stuck and we had to replace almost the entire assembly which cost hundreds of dollars because the pins wouldn't disengage from the base.

May not fit older Honeywell UV systems without modification.

I have three Honeywell UV Sterilizers that are at least 10 years old. Both these lamps (LSE) and the new lamps from Honeywell (manufactured by Phillips) have keyways in their sockets that are smaller than the original lamps. This results in the bulb not fitting fully into the socket. This in turn prevents the lightbulb from lighting up. After a lot of trial and error and practically a complete UV block replacement, I found that a little cleaning and trimming around the keyways in the base…
