For the price it should do a good quality scan, that's about the only thing this device can do and it should do a "scan" The scanner produces a line to the left of where the document orientation mark is on each document or image. I have performed the update and cleaning procedure with the special paper provided and the line/mark is always created on the same side.

Although I haven't traveled with it yet, I think keeping it in a travel bag or suitcase will protect the scanner. The Epson ES-60W scanner fits perfectly in the case and does not move. There is a mesh cord pocket in the lid. I am very happy with my purchase.

This bad boy is great for Brother printers, travel and printer protection. I am a CASE person. So if you want to protect your purchases, phones, etc., you can appreciate this case on many levels.
