Produces heat and UV, perfect for my turtle. He loves to bask underneath during the cool winter months. They have something like a safety shutdown. If I accidentally hit them too hard, they shut down. But when the timer I have resets to the next day, they seem fine.

It's a great lamp and all; it was just stronger than I needed. Returned with no problems and money refunded. I can't comment on durability as I've only been using it for 2 days. I mean it worked for those two days. I have a 100w from this company and it works great so overall I would recommend this company.

I bought 2 of these bulbs and had no problems! My beard is very happy and healthy! I like to use only 1 light in his terrarium instead of 2! I also have a kickstand so I can move it up or down because Minneapolis weather changes are so weird and random. 125 watts easily heat his spot to over 100 degrees if I wanted to. No complaints, will buy more in the future

Attention all reptile lovers. This lamp is very dangerous for animals and humans. I have tested this lamp with a Solarmeter 6.5 UVI meter and this lamp reads 199 or more at 12 inches! The UV meter CANNOT read UV at 10 inches or closer because it is outside the UV meter! A good UVI for most reptiles is below 20. This lamp can kill your reptiles, cause blindness or eye problems.

Just bought this to replace the Evergreen brand which didn't seem to produce much heat. I was disappointed to see a brown dry residue of something permanent in the center of the bulb that wouldn't come off with a soft, dry cloth. After inserting the ceramic lamp socket, I tested it for 30 minutes. The lamp never got above 85 degrees (same problem as the other lamp I had) and started giving off a strong smell of burning hot plastic. I immediately deactivated it and sent it back for a refund…
