Will make wooden crates WORSE!

Attention! I literally had to throw out my dresser. This product has made the situation MUCH worse! The drawer is now fully seated and won't come out even if you pull on it with a metal rod! Don't buy this! Now I have to buy a new box! I'm so upset!

Not for wooden drawer slides

For greasing wooden drawer slides. I think it made things even worse. Microwave it beforehand to soften it (which you must do) and then rub it with your hands. I probably wouldn't have bought it for this purpose if I had known it worked so poorly.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Obsolete

Worked great! suitable for wiping

This beeswax was used on an antique chest of drawers. Several pranks sounded like banging on a blackboard. I used beeswax on the middle wooden rail and on the left and right bottoms of the drawers. Although the weather has been unseasonably cold and the wax is not runny at all, the drawers now slide out smoothly without creaking or squeaking. Worked as expected and am happy with this product!

NOT for lubricating wooden structures like I've been told!

I got it because it was suggested as a good wood lubricant. (For example, dresser drawers slide out and close better, etc.) I'm making 3D wooden puzzles and need some wax. I would never recommend this material for this purpose. It's very rubbery and makes things stick more than it slides. If you're looking for a way to lubricate your wood and/or steel work, I've found that plain tea lights work really amazing! And believe it or not, the lighter scented ones seem to work best!

  • Country of origin: USA

Real beeswax. Nothing more.

A real bargain. Pure beeswax. Very durable. Of course you have to heat it to make it pliable or melt it and also preheat anything you apply to at least 125-130°F. So it's not very easy to apply or for a modern 'spray and wipe'. but it lasts longer than anything else and can be used for many different things - for example, the water resistance of all natural fabrics and some non-natural fabrics is better than any other substance. It is non-toxic and contains no Teflon-type PFOA or other…

Pros
  • Excellent lubricant mixture, tried and tested again and again
Cons
  • No automatic

It needs to be used correctly for it to work

After reading many negative reviews and my own trial and error I have come to the conclusion that this product requires a more complex application process than many likely do. To lubricate wooden drawer slides, simply rubbing wax into the wood will likely increase friction and make the drawers "sticky". I have found the following process to be effective. The aim is to saturate the wood with wax, remove excess wax and polish the wax surface by sanding with fine sandpaper. Impregnating wood with…
