Great for my cheap fans

Bought three of these and used them on the cheapest fans we had bought from home storage. I'm a small woman, I always need long chains to reach her. Works great, was easy to install and connect. You have three settings on the slider from slow to fast. The only complaint I have is that the slowest setting is really slow, but we always crank it to full power anyway. I wish they were cheaper but it was worth it.

Easy installation, works as advertised.

Replaced another fan/light dimmer switch that was not compatible with my fan light kit (light buzzed with dimmer on, even at full power). Purchased to easily turn the light on and off and still adjust the fan speed. Installation was very easy, four wires (ground, light, fan and hot) and everything works as advertised. Make sure the light and fan wires match the light switch. If you are installing a fan from scratch, you may not already have these cables.

Just doesn't work

I bought this fan/light switch for a 52" ceiling fan in a bedroom. After installation the light worked fine but not the fan speed. The high fan speed was quite normal, but at medium and low speeds the fan blades hardly turned at all. I wanted to get rid of the pull chains, which I could do if the fan speed was working. I returned this switch and bought a simple dual top and bottom switch that only takes up one slot in the junction box. At least I was able to eliminate the light train chain, but

Easy to install, easy to use, perfectly fits the old cutout.

My handyman friend installed this switch and it took me about five minutes. He said the instructions were simple, explained the colors of the wires, and the device matched the spot perfectly where the old broken switch was lost. I love that the 3-position switch has a large paddle that's easy to grab and move up and down to turn the fan on or off in one of the three speeds. A simple rocker switch controls the light on the ceiling fan. Another review recommended not using a CF bulb, so I…

A simple solution to space and function problems

This fan/light controller solved some problems for me. First, the indicators on the fan assembly are non-dimmable LEDs, so you'll need to toggle the switch on/off. Second, the space for the electrics is too tight to fit in a dual box for single switch and fan speed. This control is the only one I could find that has the right functionality in a device. Finally managed to get rid of hanging chains (ceiling 10ft). Easy installation with simple tools. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the old…

Something is weird with my light when I turn it on and off.

I don't know if it's just me. But I have ordered 4 of these switches for our bedrooms and the light switch part keeps failing either due to a strong spark or a burning smell coming from the switch or it just doesn't work every now and then and this all develops within the first year of the Use. for the money this switch is worth it. I expected a lot more. Since the fan select part still works fine, I installed and wired a 2 piece box and a regular 15A$3 single pole toggle switch, leaving that…

  • Vulgarity

We used to have a Lutron S2-LFSQH-WH Electronics Dual Slide-To-Off fan and light controller, but the clear plastic tab underneath that holds the white button buttons in place would break constantly with regular use, leaving the white button no longer staying in place. After swapping out a few of these I decided to give this light/fan switch a try and it has worked well so far. There is no dimmer for the light switch, but that is normal for the rooms where we swapped out the light switch. I…

Problem: Need to add a 'light kit' to an existing Hunter ceiling fan but the wall switch only controls the BLOWER , not the LIGHT. If I were to use my existing 3 speed wall switch to control the fan, the LIGHT would stay on unless I use the PULL STRING that comes with the lighting kit. Solution (First: Turn off the power at the switchboard): 1.) Install the Westinghouse lighting kit for my existing Hunter fan using the two "lighting kit" wires that were already in the fan housing. 2.) Bought a…
