This is a great buy for the price! I used purple EL wire to make a sign for my group. Since other reviews mentioned that the wire might fail unexpectedly, I found a way around this. I drilled 1/16" holes in the board and added tiny eyebolts to thread the wire through for easy replacement if needed.

I bought 2 sets of these lights for my son's Halloween costume. He wanted to be a stick figure. Both sets arrived and worked perfectly. However, I can't tell how fast they drain the batteries. We left them on for about 2.5 hours and they didn't dim at all. I was concerned because other reviews mention the high level of noise they make, but we had a very minimal buzz when we first turned it on and then stopped. I will recommend and buy again.
