Nothing special, but not flimsy either.

Good GPS for the money. The frame is strong, moisture-resistant and can withstand a lot of heat over a long period of time. Nothing special, but serves its purpose. Old technology from about 01-02.

Took almost a year

I bought it in April 2019 and it hasn't worked since March 2020. It replaced a device of the same make and model that had lasted 9 years. The battery compartment will not stay closed without a piece of tape. But the price was quite reasonable; unlike other sellers. However, last month it just stopped working, even with new batteries. Again, I have no way of getting the coordinates stored in it and nowhere else. I'm disappointed but can't afford anything else so I'm giving it three stars. Just…

My First GPS!: GPS, Finder, and Accessories

Before purchasing the Magellan SporTrak card, I researched many different handheld GPS navigators on various websites. I've been using it for almost 3 months now and I'm very happy with my solution. I chose this device because I wanted better reception in wooded areas, accurate readings, be able to program many of my own locations with annotations, and have maps preloaded so they're easy to see. referring to highways and cities. I got all that with this device without spending a lot of money. I

BIG GPS! best sport and portable gps

In March 2004 I was looking for a cheap and good quality GPS that used alkaline batteries and a monochrome display that could be used out of the box without plugging in the device to a PC. Well this GPS was my answer! It took me a while to find it, but it was worth the wait! I remember going into Fry's, Best Buy and a number of other electronics stores and being told they wouldn't sell me a GPS without a monochrome display and worst of all, they wouldn't sell a GPS for under $400! I don't…

Great product, excellent support, great price

I've been using this unit for a month now and I'm amazed at the satellite sensitivity. I can keep 2-3 pieces in my house but not near the window. As the owner of three previous laptop GPS navigators I can say that this one has replaced them all. Of course, it works on its own, and with so much information it offers, it takes a master's degree to really know how to use all the features. The ONLY disappointment was the integrated map. mine only shows the US and major cities, but even at max zoom…
