I like this idea but one of my gas bottles has an internal filter that I can't remove which completely disrupts the installation process. This kit is very well made but it is necessary to use the wire provided to route the inside to the vent hole drilled (using the drill bit provided). The wire slip method works well if you are careful where you drill.

This vent cap kit included everything needed to install the vents in my three cans. I used my drill press to turn the 7.8mm drill bit included in the kit, which also included a small open-end wrench, a length of stiff fishing wire, and full instructions in English with color photos of each step. It took me less than 5 minutes to install the vents in my 5 gallon gas tanks. These vents are all metal with neoprene seals and will likely last longer than the gas cylinders themselves.

I got these to replace the rubber tire valve stems I previously installed in my gas tanks. It seemed like a good idea, but the petrol continued to corrode and destroy the rubber and crack the stem. 1/2" valve stem hole. The hole for these openings should be smaller - the papilla. Love it. The tools provided are of good quality and care. The drill has a cobalt coating and is sharp. The wrench is suitable for the job and can be used to deburr the inside and outside of the drilled hole. Fishing wire is suitable for this task. I use gas credit to save $1 per gallon on gas. To take full advantage, I fill several 5 gallon canisters to purchase a maximum of 35 gallons at a discounted price. I can spoon molasses into my gas tank faster than the Rotopax/Fuelpax canisters I use to fill my gas tank with gas to fill. The vent built into the spout does not work at all.
