To make it work and sound loud and long enough, you have to wind everything back 60 minutes and then fast forward the desired time. I didn't notice the instructions until I was preparing the package for return. i kept it I hope that works.

The kitchen timer is exactly as described and works great. This is a replacement for the old timer, which has long been obsolete. I love this new one as it's loud enough but not too loud and easy to set up. The time is right. The entire underside is a strong magnet and it takes a lot of force to detach it from the metal surface. Would recommend to anyone who needs an accurate and reliable timer.

I've wanted to get one of these timers for years but never got around to it. That's how I came across this product and really liked the style. I thought I'd try that! So glad I did! Now I don't know how I lived without her! When I received it (which was very quick btw) I didn't realize it was magnetized on the back so it fits perfectly on my fridge! I really liked how handy this timer can be attached to the fridge or stove! Also, it doesn't require batteries and seems very accurate! my criticism. It would be nice if it sounded a little louder for busy households. Side Advice. To make it a little more user friendly I used a permanent magic marker and colored the index tip to highlight it at the desired setting time. If it wasn't for these little issues I would buy again!

A disappointing device. Yes it works (if you follow the instructions) but the ring is so shy and short that I can't imagine it competing against everyday noises and being audible. I'm sitting less than 8 feet away and no sound interferes with hearing the "alarm clock" (haha) and I can barely hear it and it lasts maybe 3 seconds.
