I live alone so I kept all my towels, extra sheets, pillowcases and tote bags in it and it worked great. (It's usually full and tidy) The shelves don't sag too much. Works exactly as I hope. My hangers are about 5'4" tall with enough room underneath to hide shoes. Buy this before buying bulkier, heavier cubic furniture! **2 of these in the wardrobe have room for extra linens and towels for the Whole family., packed lunches etc. (can hold shoes but the cubes for it are a bit big, that's wasted)
