I bought this size 12/14 coat for my grandson who is 10 years old and very thin. I thought I'd buy a coat for him to wear this year and next. Unfortunately, he will only wear it this year. But this is a very nice coat, well cut, feels light, but keeps you warm, that's the main thing! I gave this coat a 4 purely for the fit.

I advise ordering a size (or two) smaller if planning on making it fit your child. I have a 5 year old grandson and I bought a size 5 and I'm sure it will fit my 8 year old granddaughter. Otherwise this is a very nice coat. The heavier side is for colder winters and the ribbing on the sleeves and hood are well finished. Overall this is excellent value for money. Just trust me when I say it works MORE than expected.

I love this coat! I ended up ordering one in different colors/styles for each of my kids because I really liked the coat. I ordered the larger side so my kids could wear them longer and they fit exactly as I expected/hoped! The fur on the hood is not super thick, but very soft! The coats are long, which is what I wanted. They are the perfect thickness: not too heavy, not too thin. I am so happy with how warm they keep my kids warm and how attractive they look.
