Disappointing Arts and Crafts Candle

Based on our own experience, this candle is not worth the effort or money. While it smells nice when lit, the wick constantly goes out and the wax doesn't evenly melt. We had high hopes for this candle-making kit, but were let down by its lack of quality.

Pros
  • Pleasant scent
Cons
  • Wick constantly goes out, wax doesn't evenly melt

Smells awful

This thing smells HORRIBLE. I feel like I'm getting cancer just inhaling the fumes it gives off. What could be causing this bad smell? I don't even have anything to compare. Maybe formaldehyde?

Pros
  • Making candles
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Save Money

I bought this candle mold hoping to finally find a honeycomb candle mold that can be used over and over again. I knew the size was smaller than I had hoped before purchasing, but I hoped the results would outweigh my concerns. Just the opposite. I only let the candle burn for an hour and the wax is pouring down the "seam" of the mold. This was my first time using the mold so there wasn't even a full tear down the side as if it had been used multiple times. YES, the wick is right in the middle…

Pros
  • Molds
Cons
  • Crumpled
