Great for my boys

Worked well for my boys (5 and 6). They chewed on it but worked well during the season. I'll probably get new ones next year.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not sure

No more vomiting! suitable for sports medicine

great product for my 6 year old son. My son would choke on other mouthpieces. This one with air holes lets him breathe normally without gagging.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • basically good but...

Doesn't soften at all but is comfortable

My son says it's comfortable without a fit. It's impossible to fit, that's why I'm giving 3 stars. I boiled and boiled it, but we could barely soften it enough to make a dent on it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility

Mouthguard lasts a season

My son chewed on mouthguards sold at our local sporting goods store so I ordered this one. It was similar to what they wear in the NFL. He hesitated about the mouth cap because none of his teammates wear capped protection. After testing it, he found it comfortable and lasted all season.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Wettex is the best!

I have been using Vettex vented mouthpieces for 2 years now. I have 3 sons who play youth soccer. Ages 6, 8 and 10 years old. I like these mouthpieces, they offer maximum protection and don't require boiling. Open the packaging, remove the plastic insert that is in the ventilation hole and you're done. Excellent mouthpiece.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost never

Much better than the cheaper Kappas in the consumable league it plays. However, I bought this because it chews on others fairly easily and needs constant replacement. This one lasted 7 weeks - almost the whole season - but he still managed to bite off something. Would I buy again as it has really lasted a lot longer than others.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
