Just mediocre quality for pipes and tunnels

One of my girls loves this turtle and the other doesn't care. The quality is not as good as I had hoped. The legs have a strong plastic edge that's flattened so the holes aren't very open. I temporarily put the cans in the leg holes in hopes of making them rounder and more functional, but it didn't work. Maybe if I had left the jars longer (like months). Good enough.

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Some issues

While it's still pretty cute, it's not viable as is.

Delivered quickly. When he arrived he was dejected. Unusual for delivery. Unfortunately he didn't whisper back. There are wires at the ends of the legs to keep them open for ferrets to enter, but the rest of the legs remain flat, like a blanket just folded in half. There's no internal frame or any sort of filling to keep him standing long enough to allow for a cavernous entrance on his feet. UPDATE: It's so cute I kept it. I inserted the foam into the head and body through small cuts in the…

DO NOT BUY ! He almost killed my ferret!

Turtle legs have a flexible metal band on the inside of the fabric to be shaped. I opened it all the way and my little ferret (Marshal ferret) got stuck trying to crawl out of his leg and his neck got pinched by the leg/metal part. It was in his cage and he used it for the first time (after being in the cage for a few days!). When I wasn't home, I would come home from work with a dead pet. Not to mention that it's not very well made either, having already seen pieces of foam falling out of the…

Hedgehogs admitted! for pipes and tunnels

My hedgehog LOVES sleeping in this turtle! I've tried wooden huts, plastic domes, a $30 DIY fish-style shelter, comfort bags, PVC pipes and more, but he didn't like any of it. From the moment I put this turtle in his cage he fell in love with her. I bought a microfiber chenille cleaning mitt ($4 @ Lowes) and put it on the bottom and then put some strips of leftover fleece inside for it to dig in! It has a lot of space for him. Haven't tried washing it yet (I think it's just spotless :( ) but…

Great for joining hoses but difficult to shape

This turtle is a must have when you want to join hoses together. All 4 legs fit marshall tubes perfectly and we use them as a hub to place 4 tubes all over the ferret room. One star deducted for 2 reasons. 1. The mouth is pretty much useless. The top part basically covers the opening so the ferret has to push it up to get in, and from the inside it looks like there's no way out. 2. You need to work with it for a while to shape it. It comes with a really broken shell and you have to stick your…

My guinea pigs love it!

I bought this for my boys about 9-10 months ago. Both love it! I use it when I need to travel with them and they are at home in their travel cage and normal cage. They have no problem getting into small holes and love napping there. That's really enough room for just one pig. A couple of times my boys tried to push it together, one of them had half his butt sticking out. To clean it, I shake it out every night while my rest of the cage is gone. After they've used it for about a week, I throw it

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor issues
