Here is such a beautiful template. It's easy to work with and the images come out amazing. Made a work of art out of an old dresser. After that, all I had to do was wet the stencil with water and rub it gently. The stencil has good thickness so it can be used repeatedly. I recommend Marth Stewart stencils.

As a newbie to screen printing, I still have trouble creating sharp edges. This stencil has an interesting texture on the underside that helps the paint not bleed through. In the photos I'm attaching, the sharp-edged bird on the branch is due to the stencil texture side touching the board. The bird flying higher was bleeding through some because I had to get it to face a different direction. I was looking for a beautiful stencil with birds and branches to work with a Chinese house I was remodeling. I used the Prima Redesign shapes to add flowers and then accented them with this Chinoiserie stencil by Martha Stewart. It was a bit thinner than some of the other stencils I've used (most of my stencils are actually wall stencils, not craft stencils), but it was still pretty easy to use if I was careful. Just make sure you use a dry brush technique so the lines don't go under the edges.

So disappointed. I ordered this stencil last spring to use in my bedroom makeover. Well I decided not to use it as I was very happy with the end result. I saved the stencil set in case I decide to use it later. After so many months, this day has come. When I open the package I find that there is only one sheet of stencils - a sheet with a bird in flight. There was no indication that any of the templates were missing as the staples were intact and did not appear to have been altered in any way…
