🦷 Marvis Toothpaste Squeezer and Dispenser Review

The Marvis toothpaste dispenser is more than just a fancy gadget. It really gets the job done, squeezing every bit of paste out of the tube. See the photo with the compressed hose on the left and the new hose inserted into the device on the right [in my first aid kit]. So far I've gotten a month more toothpaste from a tube squeezed from a dispenser and I'm not done with the old tube yet!

Ehh. It looks very nice. Old school china is cool. But A) it's not very good to roll all the toothpaste out of the tube. b) It is a little inconvenient to use. I end up just taking this whole contraption and using it as usual. But now I mustn't drop this porcelain device either. It looks like it's hitting the target. But I'm too lazy to send it back. And it looks cool. So uh.

The device is designed to hold and evenly dispense Marvis toothpaste. But the metal pin used to grip the bottom of the tube is very, very loose. It doesn't hold tight enough to start rolling the toothpaste and the plastic tube unrolls and I have to try to get it to roll again. And the hole in the ceramic is too wide. This allows the toothpaste to stay in the tube, making it even more difficult to roll. Not worth it, even though it was free, it's not.

Pros: This is a nice, heavy ceramic base. Cons: As other reviewers have said, it's uncomfortable. The "key" is held under tension, which means it cannot fit tightly into the toothpaste. It can slip out of the slot and fail fairly easily. The way to use it is to remove the cap from the toothpaste, put some on the toothbrush and then close it. I've bought MUCH cheaper toothpaste holders from Revain that have constant voltage on the tube. They're not that pretty, but they work. I intend to use it…

I only ordered this because I love Marvis toothpaste and useful gadgets. However, this is much more difficult than just storing toothpaste in a tray on the counter. It's very easy. I've been using an inexpensive plastic toothpaste squeezer with Marvis toothpaste for a while and thought I'd "upgrade" when I did bought them alone when the plastic finally gave up.
