THINK TWICE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THIS TRAILER LOCK KIT

I bought this lock kit blind because I bought the kit for my old boat 13 years ago. The old set was great and very well made and well worth the money. In my honest opinion, this new set is pure junk. It was only reduced in price for profit reasons. The cylinders look like they could be easily pulled out with a dent tool, and the tongue latch looks like a few good hits with a ball-peen hammer will snap and knock it out. If you are serious about trailer safety, check out other brands like Reeseโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly, worked great!

This was on a service trailer just for reassurance, worked great even the one for the tongue, many complained that it dangles, it dangles a bit BUT at the end of the day it's just a way slowing down someone trying to steal your stuff. It goes well and is firm enough for work. These are more of a visual deterrent than capturing all optimal safety devices, keep that in mind and just use them as intended, deterrents to slowing someone down long enough to be noticed or taking too long to try andโ€ฆ

Cheap plastic, bad quality, I won't buy again

There are several parts in the set. The mailbox lock is decent. All other items are useless. Trailer lock is difficult to use. Since you can remove the key whether you are in the locked or unlocked position, it is difficult to know for sure if the lock is locked because the lock cannot easily slip off when unlocking. I do not like it. The biggest disappointment is the trailer tongue lock (a lock that acts where the hitch goes). This thing looks like it will break if I drop it on concrete. Veryโ€ฆ

Decent product but not what I expected

Receiver lock Not quite what I expected. The case is made of plastic, it is easy to break. However, there is a lot of metal under the plastic. It will definitely make people think twice about stealing, but nothing will stop a determined thief. Would give 4 stars if it was solid metal. The pin lock is very handy for locking the trailer, but it doesn't lock tight enough on my trailer due to the distance between the locking slots. A few minutes with a handsaw and it will be over. Good receiver lock, good ball lock, terrible pin lock.

I bought this to protect my retractable camper. The receiver lock is the best strong lock, durable and the faceplate for the lock receiver itself with a good quality key. The ball lock comes next, fits well and holds onto the trailer well. It doesn't seem particularly strong, someone with a sledgehammer and a few minutes could probably take it off, but they could also risk damaging the trailer. The faceplate on the lock itself is made of stamped steel and is therefore prone to warping. Beโ€ฆ

Easy to remove - even without a key

I bought this set because I liked the idea that one key opens everything. Received January 2019, hitch lock fitted and the hitch lock when I got it didn't put the receiver lock on until May because I wasn't towing at the time and the ball mount was in the garage. Started towing in May and used all three locks until the end of October when the boat went into storage (locked) and I removed the ball joint but left the receiver lock on thinking it would be right where I found her could. thisโ€ฆ

Decent set for the price

Quality matches the price. I needed a new set after a relative borrowed my fob and lost the fob lock and key. (Don't leave it on the bumper!). You get 3 levels of security for your drawbar/receiver. You also get 3 keys and all locks with the same key. While locks may seem a little cheap, they are the main line of defense to thwart a thief. I personally believe that someone who knows what they are doing, or really wants it, will find a workaround to get your trailer. Now the cons. The "ball"โ€ฆ

Not enough to keep a good man honest.

I bought this product thinking I would let the occasional thief go. Boy was I wrong. No, my trailer wasn't stolen. but 3 months after purchase I had to use my trailer. The key went in and turned a lock, but didn't open the lock. With another lock, the key did not fully penetrate the keyhole. The toggle switches were rusty and wouldn't let the key through the last 1/4 inch. At that time I didn't use a receiver pin lock. Only the clutch and clutch are locked. I figured it would take me a fewโ€ฆ
