Design and construction are not well thought out.

This product is just average in my opinion. Because if you look closely at the product photos, you'll see that the faucets are welded to a magnetic stick that's mounted behind the stick. This will raise the magnet about 1/4". So if you want to attach it to your metal tool box (like other brands I've bought) that 1/4" of space is enough for it not to stick. Then add tools and it slides down. Of course you can drill the holes provided and screw to the tool box, but I didn't want to drill my tool…

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: Two ¼" hole steel tabs spaced 16" apart, includes two drywall screws/anchors for mounting.
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Superb tool organizer

I have about 28 feet of magnetic bars in my garage now. Mix of all sizes except 6", this size hasn't been used yet. 28ft is probably too much, but now I use it for everything. Drills, blades, tools, hammers, crowbars. You get the idea. I don't miss it No more rummaging through drawers and toolboxes to find something. Even the smallest detail has a place that's easy to find and (perhaps more importantly) recognizable when it's not hidden. Fastening hardware is junk. Make one yourself Fall and…

Pros
  • SMART DESIGN: 1.625" tall and 1.125" deep (6", 13", 18" or 24" length) for a balance of slim profile and powerful magnetic force.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Master Magnetics vs. OEM

I found another OEMTools OEMTools 24921 Magnetic Tool Holder at Revain for only $16. I decided to gather all the consumer reports and both the cheaper OEM and Master Magnetics AMC24PLC 24 inch wide, 20 lbs. Inch silver nickel finish with red stripe to order and compare (as I was thinking of getting more 4 or 5). Both had the main supply from Revain. Black and Yellow for $16. The chrome AMC24PLC is $24. .They are the same dimensions with 2 mounting tabs and a strip of tape covering the magnets…

Pros
  • VERSATILE: Handymen, organizers, builders, machinists, and homeowners can dress up their home, garage, shed, or job site.
Cons
  • unreliable
