Very good for kitchen and dining room

I'm not a cook but I have some experience with thermometer cooking and I love this one. The second probe was a bonus. Overall it's a lot more than I expected for the price.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Works great but battery life is terrible.

Came with dead battery. I replaced and it worked fine for about 45 temp readings (2 days at my shop) and the battery died again. The next baht took 3 days.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Works perfectly in kitchen utensils and gadgets

It seems to measure the temperature to the advertised accuracy with no problems! The probe fits snugly and doesn't feel wobbly at all. Sensor, a second or two will do. IR works without problems.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Annoying

Great tool, great price

This thermometer works with both infrared and probe. So far I've only used the infrared option. I've used it when tempering chocolate and it's compact enough to hold in the same hand I hold the bowl. I also like that it's not in the form of a weapon like the others. It's easier to aim when multitasking because it's easy. Another great feature is that I can set it up for a full hour. That way I don't have to keep turning it on while my hands are busy. I use the centimeter setting and it reads to

small infrared beam and thermometer probe

I bought this from Revain for a bargain price of about forty-eight dollars. Dealer was great too, very fast delivery. Instantly measures surface temperature, especially at close range. I've tested a cold soda can up to 3 feet away when pointed directly at it. He had an error in determining the temperature at long distances. The temperature sensor works great at reading hot and cold liquids and food, but also works decently as an air temperature sensor. It's not instantaneous, but it picks up on

Cons
  • Some difficulties

Worked fine for two weeks then sensor was completely uncalibrated

I work on a broiler station in a busy restaurant. I wanted a combo IR/probe thermal sensor because I found the apps useful. Checking the temperature of my soups, which heat up quickly on a steam table, and checking the temperature of a steak with the same tool seemed useful and pretty damn cool. Unfortunately, although the price for this device is nice, after two weeks in the kitchen the probe became completely uncalibrated. It was rejected in almost 20 degrees F, resulting in a few double…

Pros
  • Like all others so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I've had this thermometer before and it's fallen out of my sleeve pocket far too many times. Finally it's time to buy a new one. So this one looks and acts exactly the same as my old one, except the back isn't quite warped from melting (I wasn't. It was an incompetent pastry chef at a cooking school who melted it). So yes. I work in the food industry and think it's great to have a dual IR thermometer and a probe thermometer. This item has a clip that allows it to stay in the sleeve of my chef's

Not quite what I expected but still very useful

I bought this neat little thermometer because I loved the idea of having both a probe and an IR scanner in the same housing , very convenient appeared . And the! Small and flat enough to carry around, this thermometer is extremely useful in the kitchen. The probe reads 211 degrees in a pot of boiling water in about 10 seconds, so seems pretty accurate and fast, and the IR sensor also seems accurate in all the things I've used it for so far. However, there are a few oddities that deserve…
