Beware of fake sunglasses

These are fake or seconds. They come in a plain white box with no case and a cloth pouch. I bought the same glasses and they are not the same.

Pros
  • Hands-free function
Cons
  • Useless functions

Fishing glasses Marlin

Great glasses. My husband spotted them in Mexico and thought he should have them. I went online and ordered them and when we got back from vacation they were there, only I paid almost $200 less than the store he found them at! The frames are truly unique and appeal to his feel when fishing for marlin.

Pros
  • Worthy performance
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Great Maui Jim sunglasses

I have owned Maui Jim sunglasses for many years and they are known for their excellent quality. I needed glasses that would give me better illumination and less flare on the sides when riding in the sun. They have a wrap style and block almost all of the sunlight and they are fantastic - they fit me well and I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I will add later

The glasses are light and the clearest lenses I have ever looked at!

I love these Maui Jims! I use them 3-5 times a week for golf. I used to have Oakley but after 9 years I decided to compare myself to other manufacturers. Also, I would say that I have a fairly large head (23.5 inches circumference at eye level, which would be like wearing glasses on your nose and ears). I have one size for everyone.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Short Manual

The guarantee is very questionable

These are expensive sunglasses with a stated guarantee. There were stains and films on the lenses that could not be removed with gentle cleaning. "Guarantee" from a company in Italy who have repeatedly asked for more photos (I'm sure it falters). Very disappointed as Sunglass Hut just referred us to this third party. Will never buy them again and I doubt these glasses are even real Maui Jim.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Hard to say

Don't go wrong with MJ!

I've had Maui Jim glasses for over 30 years and they're still great ocean sunglasses. Frames last a long time with proper care. I still have my first pair from 1988 but they have been kicked in and are still hanging on my boat just in case! My wife once asked me how I can see all the things in the sea so I let her try mine on, now she has 2 pairs and she swears by them.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Slim

Top sunglasses

These are my second MJ glasses. My first pair accompanied me all over the world including some holes in the subcontinent and like a faithful dog they never let me down. Unfortunately I lost them in a smelly bar in Houston, Texas! So I bought myself a new pair asap and am hooked! I've had Oakleys (feel too cheap), Ray-Bans (I grew up in the top gun scene) but my MJs make me roll down the windows and cruise!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

The best sunglasses around imo.

I've had Maui Jim sunglasses for about 15 years now. I have tried cheaper glasses and some much more expensive ones. I have never found a higher quality pair and believe me the cheap sob inside me has been trying to find the same quality in a less expensive pair of glasses. After many years, my wife finally found a style she likes (World Cup) and now she's hooked too. Don't waste your time, you have already found the best sunglasses you will ever have.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

I've had Revo, Arnet, Costas with 580 lenses. I mostly use my inshore fishing sunglasses. I recently decided to try Maui as there was a significant difference in clarity compared to my Costa 580 Blackfin Blue glass lens and my friend's Maui World Cup glass lens. I can easily wear these Maui all day even when I sweat, they stay in place and don't mark my nose like bones. I would equate a 580 blue lens to a gray lens. If you have a large face or a wide round face, they will suit you very well.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
