Good reliable pressure regulator

Worked great! I saved hundreds on plumbing by doing it myself. My water heater has been running for a month now with no problems.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some little things

Saved about $65 off factory price.

Purchased local cooktop with short gas regulator. Manufacturer price is $80. Good economy and the controller works great.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Fine

Connection pipe size

The regulator works as it should (mine came set for the minimum outlet pressure, somewhere 3" wc). Ordering the correct size is a bit confusing - "1" inlet and outlet, 3 /4" FPT thread", so only pay attention to 3/4" FPT. I got the size wrong, but the seller quickly sent the correct size.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • There are nuances

Very bad experience

I bought one of these to hook up a commercial griddle/flat top. The first had a rattle which I noticed after I plugged it in and it nearly blew up my garage. and light it to return. The second one I got didn't hold enough pressure to ignite the pilot. no matter how I set it up. So I went the other way and my griddle now works fine without it.

A good product!

This is a good product. I decided to replace the propane regulator that came with my new LPG cooktop. I chose this unit for its pressure adjustability (which I didn't need to change by default) and 3/4" openings versus 1/2" on the old unit. I now get more flow in the column and better atomization in the burners, resulting in a fully blue flame. Previously, the tips of the flames were painted white, sometimes leaving black marks on the surface of the pan.

Pros
  • Industry and Science
Cons
  • Disappear

Exact replacement

My outdoor island grill was 12 years old and literally stopped working. I checked the gas valve and line to make sure they weren't clogged or blocked. I knew it was time to replace that pressure regulator. Same manufacturer and part numbers are almost the same. Before ordering, I made sure that the thread size of the pipe is the same. I placed an order and Revain received it the next day. I removed the old regulator and installed the new one. My grill works like new again! I hope this lasts…

Pros
  • Valves
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Check Gas Flow Regulator Temperature Range

I bought this regulator because it was adjustable and I chose it when I was looking for "natural gas regulator for gas grill". It turns out that this regulator does not let gas through when the outside temperature reaches 40 degrees or less. Today he stopped the gas supply at 48 degrees. I called Maxitrol Tech Support which took a few days and was told the regulator stops the gas flow at 32 degrees or freezing. Either this unit is defective or this controller can only be used in an environment…
