I can't speak for the folks who use them over coax for transmission, but for simple reception needs (public safety HF and VHF/UHF) these little jumpers work great. They help me to use the shorter pieces of coax I already have instead of buying or making longer pieces every time I want to experiment with a new antenna or location.

I'm old school. The UHF female to UHF female adapter that accepts 2 male cables (PL-259 male) as an in-line splice is actually numbered and marked as "PL-258". But considering this listing error, these five connectors are indeed high quality and made in China. What is in the photo is what you will get. Small box supplied in padded envelope. The price isn't bad either, considering Prime's free two-day shipping. Overall, I would pay more if I sent the same number of similar adapters at 89 cents…

Good connectors at a reasonable price and work as they should. The only problem was that one of the connectors was shorted, that wasn't a problem as I only needed one and I had 2 in the pack. I contacted the seller and got a quick response with a full refund. I will bookmark this seller so I can buy from him again if I need something. Thank you Maxmoral

They are cheaply made in appearance. I've tested them on my desktop and they don't seem to be consistent from one device to another in terms of impedance. This is a sign of inferior production. The insulation around the Co-239 has a gap through which moisture can easily penetrate. Other brands I've bought don't have this gap. Upset that the seller required a direct signature for the $7 product! Stay away from this seller!

It is almost impossible to run 52 ohm coaxial cable without this type of connector. Twin jacks PL-259 through SO-239 meet the requirements resulting from cable lengths with connectors at both ends of the cables. They also provide a convenient breakpoint when you need to split cable runs for testing or secure cables around obstacles. At the start of any job, you need to have at least two to six of these very handy nickel-plated connectors with you.
