Maxpedition BFW Fold Wallet Black Review

I am currently carrying an old double fold nylon bag that was the best wallet I have ever owned. I was hoping it would be his replacement. It's about the same size as my old wallet, but the cards are reversed and are a bit loose for my liking. I mostly needed a thin wallet to carry with me. I have a giant Rapdom Tactical nylon wallet that can hold anything I throw in it. But I wanted something smaller for frequent wear. It fits the bill very well. It's thin, light, but appears to be very durable. I carry minimal items with me, like a credit card and a few bills. I hardly notice it there compared to the other wallet.

I bought a Maxpedition BFW wallet to replace my leather Coach wallet with baseball stitching. The BFW Wallet holds almost as much as my Coach, but is only a third thick. If you've ever seen the Seinfeld episode where George carries a giant wallet, the point is, it's my old wallet. I have a few other Maxpedition items and they are top notch. This purse should last a lifetime. In the attached photos, my old wallet is empty and the new one is full.

perfection! After years of sitting comfortably on my fat old leather wallet, this was a revelation. For the first few weeks, I often looked around the house for my wallet, forgetting it was in my back pocket. I literally couldn't tell it was there because it was so thin and fitted my shape perfectly. Seems to be indestructible too. Highly recommended!

Nice, solid wallet with enough card slots! The wallet is a little higher than I expected, but it's not critical. I really like that this wallet doesn't rotate in my back pocket and doesn't turn sideways (mainly because this wallet is square rather than rectangular when closed). There are 4 card slots on the left and an ID card pocket on the right side with two back pockets behind 4 card slots and an ID card pocket.

This Maxpedition BFW is *almost* exactly what I've been looking for for a long time! let me explain. My favorite wallet is an old "Zero" skateboard wallet that I had in the late 90's/early 00's (see photo below). Made from black ripstop nylon, it has endured nearly two decades of world travel, motorcycling and constant everyday use. Beautifully made, has the number and type of pockets to fit in a wallet. The material is good. I expect durability like all Maxpedition products. Problem? He's a half inch or more taller than he should be. This is a real headache. The driver's license fits in a pocket with a viewing window and an empty quarter-inch window at the top and bottom. If that doesn't bother you, then this is a good choice. If you want to save space, this wallet is not for you.

Very good wallet and wide enough not to fall into the pockets of a carpenter's jeans. Well made and sturdy, I'm sure it will last for years. However, I agree with a review I read that I wish the ID holder window was on the other side, but I'll get used to it.
