I haven't used this pattern yet because I have another very similar one. However, I had no problems with that. McCall patterns work well on dolls and are fairly easy to sew. However, if you're looking for variety, try Simplicity instead of buying multiple McCalls. They have the same sweater, hat, pants and t-shirt of the three McCalls styles I have at home now.

I am an experienced seamstress and have problems with this pattern. It has many details that are difficult to combine with each other. It also has confusing instructions. I'm usually good with patterns, but this challenge is for me. I had to make some changes to make it work. I'm not happy with that.
